Nr Wrexham
Gower Homes appointed McCormick to undertake the modernisation of
Bedwell Hall, a Grade II listed farmhouse near Wrexham, North
Wales. The project also included the design of one replacement
dwelling and the conversion of redundant farm buildings into three
homes, as well as the new build of nine dwellings with associated
garages.
The replacement dwelling was designed to be subservient to Bedwell
Hall's frontage and have a character and height similar to the
existing farm buildings.
The integrity of the yard was felt to be the most important aspect
of the farmyard group of buildings, so the existing elevations
facing this direction were retained.
Features:
Conservation-style roof lights, brickwork and joinery tailored to
match early buildings.
